CHAPTER 7:
All Set to Sail
- Cutscene from Noctis nightmare "Omen" -
- Several days later -
To Cape Caem
At Lestallum, Gladiolus tell Noctis that CId and Cindy are preparing a boat that they can use to travel to Altisia, waiting at a secret harbor at Cape Caem. Noctis and friends decide to bring along Iris to prevent Niflheim troops from harming her. On the way to Cape Caem, Noctis and friends notice a Niflheim flying fortress landed near Old Lestallum. Noctis and friends decided to bring justice to Jared and Talcott by wrecking the fortress.
Gladiolus:
“Iris, For your safety you will need to stay here for a moment”
Iris:
“No way! I’m coming with you guys! I will not stay behind while you guys avenging for Jared and Talcott. I’m a big girl and I can take care of my own”
Ignis:
“As expected from a daughter of Clarus Amicitia”
Prompto:
“Don’t worry Gladiolus. I’ll help you watch over her”
Ignis:
“All right that settles then. I suggest we review our intelligence and devise a plan”
<<< Iris join the party
Survey Fort Vaullerey
Noctis and friends along with Iris will now begin scouting areas surrounding the Fort Vaullerey before taking them out. Upon reaching a higher ground, Ignis will make an infiltration plan. Ignis advise that they wait until nightfall and stealthily try to locate the commander and hopefully they find Caligo to avenge Jared and Talcott. The team will now split into 2 teams, Noctis and Ignis will infiltrate the base and capture the commander. While Galdiolus, Prompto and Iris will stay behind to create a diversion.
Imperial Infiltration
Stealthily Noctis and Ignis follow the commander Caligo until the right moment to seize him. After capturing the commander, an explosion occur, set off by Gladiolus, Prompto and Iris from outside. Ignis will stay behind to put the commander in custody while Noctis will regroup with others to wreck-havoc inside the fortress. After the battles, Noctis find an item called “Warped Wings” and Ignis will then brings out the commander Caligo from custody to be put in trial.
Suddenly, a female dragon knight strikes from up above, giving another chance to Caligo to slip away. The female dragon knight known as Aranea Highwind, a mercenary hired by Ravus to help him capture Noctis dead or alive. After some time, Aranea says goodbye to Noctis.

To Cape Caem again
After wrecking Fort Vaullerey, Noctis and friends along with Iris are back at the road to Cape Caem. On the way, Iris got called by Talcott that Cid has arrived at Cape Caem and have take a look at the ship but there is a complication so they will need to get to Cape Caem as soon as possible.
At Cape Caem, Cindy welcome Noctis and updates about the ship, saying some part can be fixed but some part need to be replaced. Noctis then meet with Cid for more detail explanation. Cid later explains that he need “mythril” to complete the boat repair. Talcott tell Noctis that based on his granpa notebook there is probably a mythril on ruins near Vesperpool.
Iris:
“Thanks for the ride guys, I’ll be here accompany Talcott. Stay safe!”

Editor’s Note
Yeayyy the chapter start with a cutscene from the game trailer that have nothing to do with the in-game story or whatsoever. But it is a cool and epic game trailer though. The idea of this chapter is the introduction to Iris Amicitia as our partner and to have her a bigger role and screen-time in the story. We know Iris is an Amicitia, sister of Gladiolus Amicitia and a daughter of Clarus Amicitia who is King Regis personal bodyguard. Although she is not perceived not as strong as her father and brother, at least she have a strong will to help Noctis bring justice for Jared's death.
