CHAPTER 13:
End of Days
The Fallen Tenebrae
Seeing the Tenebrae in burn, Noctis and friends quickly alight the train and trying to find out what happen. Apparently, magitek troopers are currently causing chaos but these magitek troopers are different, they are not normal. The magitek troopers are consumed and act like demons. In the midst of chaos, Noctis finds Aranea fighting the demonize magitek troopers. Noctis and friends decide to help her.
<<< Aranea join the party
Noctis:
“What the hell is going on here?!”
Aranea:
“These magitek trooper have been consume by the demons. They are out of control. Someone must let them loose here”
Gladiolus:
“But why here? Isn’t Tenebrae part of Niflheim?”
Aranea:
“It seems their target is the high commander Ravus. He is no longer on side of Niflheim. So did I”
Noctis:
“Ravus?! Where is he?”
Aranea:
“He is defending the castle and Lady Lunafreya tomb”
Noctis:
“Then quick we must help him!”
Noctis along with Aranea are forcing their way through the castle of Tenebrae. Hoping to save Ravus from these demonic magitek troopers. Inside the castle plaza they meet with the final monster lurking in Tenebrae, Deathclaw. After defeating it, things become more calm and Noctis continue searching Ravus. But apparently it was too late, Ravus was nowhere to be found.
Aranea:
“I’ll be waiting outside the castle and see if there is anything I could do help people down there”

Where She Lived
Maria, servant to the House of Fleuret, then coming out from her hiding place inform Noctis that lord Ravus has been taken away by the imperial. She is also said that Lord Ravus has never taking side with Niflheim, he was just trying to have better intel from the imperial in order to protect Lady Lunafreya. Also being the high commander of Niflheim allows him to move freely to help Lady Lunafreya achieve her goal.
- A cutscene of Ravus and Luna having conversation. Luna almost given up as her body getting weaker and weaker as an effect of healing the Star Scourge but Ravus able to encourage her, giving Luna power to finish her task as an Oracle -

Noctis and friends take a tour inside Tenebrae Castle to reminiscent old memories when Noctis being taken care of Luna. Eventually they reach Lady Lunafreya room and found the mannequin used to display her wedding dress laying down on the floor.
- A cutscene of Luna and Gentiana having conversation. Gentiana admit that it was Luna is the one who heal Noctis because of her true power, not because she is being an Oracle -
Noctis reminded of Luna as a powerful lady worthy of a princess which makes him even more hatred to Ardyn. In the backyard of the castle, Noctis find Lady Lunafreya tombstone, standing in the middle of Tenebrae flower flied.
- A cutscene of Luna spirit showing up in front of Noctis to remind him to be strong even it does feel like a hope is lost, Noctis then burst into tears -
Outside the castle Noctis reunited with Aranea that were helping the civilians. Noctis ask Aranea to also help the train passengers since Noctis will need the train to get him to Gralea, leaving the passengers at Tenebrae for their own safety. Aranea then will lend Biggs & Wedge to help out operating the train for Noctis getting into Gralea.
Into the Arctic Crevasse
Noctis and friends aboard the train to Gralea. When they pass the Ghorovas Rift, the train forced to stop because it is frozen. Noctis and friends decide to check out the problem. Outside the train, it is snowing hard. Noctis can see a head of giant lady frozen. It was the head of the fallen astral Shiva. From a far Noctis saw Gentiana calling him with hand gesture. Noctis then try to follow where Gentiana is. Apparently Gentiana showing the way to get closer to Shiva’s frozen body. Gentiana will then tell story about the battle of Astral that lead to the death of Shiva. Noctis will receive the Mark of Glacian after hearing the story. The snowstorm gone after Noctis receive the Mark of Glacian, therefore Noctis and friends decide to go back to the train to continue onward their journey.
Breath of the Glacian
Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto get into the train first followed by Noctis. By the time Noctis entering the train, he saw Ardyn passing by. Noctis quickly follow him. A mysterious atmosphere covering inside the train. The snowstorm that was already stop after Noctis get the Mark of Glacian by Gentiana now happening again but this time it is happen inside the train. Noctis continue to follow what it looks like where Ardyn stands. Noctis see Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto laying down on the floor train. At that moment Gentiana show up and transform into Shiva freeze Ardyn and handing over the Trident of the Oracle to Noctis.

- A cutscene showing a flashback of Lunafreya having a conversation with Ravus questioning whether Noctis is fit to be king or not. But Lunafreya chose to support Noctis all the way she can -

The scene back inside the train where Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto laying down the floor, Ardyn being frozen and the snowstorm now is gone. Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto decide to help Biggs and Wedge to they can continue the journey to Gralea. Noctis have a short moment to remember how hard it is for Lunafreya for always trust and support him in a way she can. A moment later Ardyn show up again in front of Noctis, revealing that he is an immortal and provoke Noctis to reach Gralea as soon as possible to take back the crystal back. The crystal believed to be the only way to purge the demons and restore the light to the world. Ardyn then say goodbye to Noctis, telling him that he will be waiting at Gralea, while pressing a button to activate a barrier that prevent Noctis to use his armiger ability.
Editor’s Note
Included in this chapter is the battle happening in Tenebrae. This chapter deserve more ambitious action adventure than just hoping on to one train station to another. The battle in Tenebrae provide a more depth story on why Tenebrae under attack. It is to capture Ravus who is now no longer trusted by the emperor and put the new "demonic" Niflheim troops put to the test. These "demonic" Niflheim troops also become the more reason Aranea left the imperial forces as she is naturally a demon hunter. Having Ravus being chased and attack by the Niflheim become the mark of his turning point as a good guy.

This chapter also serve as the only part of the game that we can explore Tenebrae although not in its prime condition. And this is the only place to have Noctis find a garden full of Tenebrae flowers that remind him to Luna and add another emotional journey to the story.

This chapter also become the only chapter where we can explore the snowy area to receive Shiva's blessing and provide more in-depth story about the death of Shiva during the Astral War. The problem with Final Fantasy 15 game in my opinion is also the lack of story behind the Astrals. Why did Ifrit hate humans? Why there is a dead body/statue of Shiva near Niflheim territory? Why is Titan holding a meteor fall? Why Leviathan sleep underneath Altisia all this time? Why Bahamut can speak to Noctis while others cannot? So little information about them. Even worse that we need to find scattered book about Astrals throughout the region to find little information about them.
