After the battle, Noctis and friends get back to Regalia and meet with Umbra. Following Umbra Noctis will then meet with Gentiana - the messenger of the Oracle. Gentiana inform that Lunafreya has made contact with the Hexatheon to give Noctis his blessings. All Noctis has to do is claim the Hexatheon blessings by finding the three runestone hidden in Duscae.  Apparently lightning strikes will point the way to the three runestone. Gentiana also inform that Lunafreya will be waiting for Noctis at the Walls of Water (Altisia). Gentiana will then vanish. Noctis also replied the message from Lunafreya that being delivered by Umbra. Gladiolus then inform Noctis that Iris knows about the secret harbor at Cape Caem that could bring them to Altisia.

- A flashback scene occurs during Noctis and Lunafreya childhood telling story about Crystal, about Noctis being the chosen one to purge the scourge and Lunafreya as an Oracle to aid Noctis achieve the goal -

Trial of Ramuh

Touching the first runestone, Noctis get another flashback during his recovery. Noctis remembering the moment he first time meet Gentiana back in Tenebrae.

On the second runestone, Gentiana inform to Noctis that the third runestone lies deep within a cave. Onward to the third runestone, upon touching the third runestone, Noctis will get vision of Lunafreya meet with Ramuh. This also explain that Ramuh has been compromised by Lunafreya so it easier for Noctis to claim his blessings from Ramuh. After the third runestone, Noctis will received the Mark of Fulgurian.

Outside the cave, apparently Niflheim troops are surrounding Noctis and friends, planning to bring down Ramuh and Noctis at the same time. There is no other way but going forward bashing out those troops in sight. In the middle of battle, Ramuh offers to help out finishing the Niflheim troops. Ravus Nox Fleuret, Lunafreya older borther, suddenly shows up after witnessing the might of Ramuh.

Ravus:

“So you have managed to get Ramuh’s blessings”

Noctis:

“Ravus!”

Ravus:

“I never know what my sister sees in you. You are the chosen one but nothing achieved by yourself. Always rely on others to become stronger. Such a weakling. Is that what the future king of Imsomnia could offer?”

Noctis:

“Still better than becoming the dog of the imperial”

Ravus:

“I do not obey what the imperial ask me to!”

Ravus unsheat his sword pointing at Noctis but Gladiolus quickly stands in front of Noctis to protect him.

Ravus:

“Always rely on others to protect yourself. How can you protect your people when you become the king? Are you planning to leave everyone behind in the midst of chaos just like your father?”

Angered, Noctis showing off his armiger power and challenge Ravus to a duel.

Noctis:

“You want to see how strong I am. Bring it on!”

>>> Gladiolus, Ignis, Prompto left the party

This is a one-on-one duel between Noctis and Ravus to show what Noctis capable to do. For Ravus, this is merely a test whether Noctis strong enough to become the savior and proving what have his sister said all the time about Noctis. After a series of clashing blades, Ravus stops the battle.

Ravus:

“Not so bad. But clearly not strong enough to protect people in need”

Noctis:

“I could still take you on”

Ravus:

“Don’t be cocky! Never forget that you can get stronger by now because my sister helps you!”

Noctis:

“…………..”

Ravus:

“Next time we meet, I will not hold back. Prove me that you are worthy to be a king and able to protect its people. As for now, enjoy your new glimpse of power given by my sister”

Ravus then retreat with his whole army and left Noctis behind. After the batle with Ravus, Noctis need to ask Iris about the secret harbor, hoping for a boat that can bring them to Altisia to meet up with Lunafreya.

>>> Gladiolus, Ignis, Prompto join the party

Engaging the Empire

Upon reaching back to Lestallum, Noctis and friends notice that Lestallum being surrounded by Niflheim troops asking around civillians for Noctis whereabout. To prevent an outbreak, also worrying about the safe of Iris and others, they decide to not take on the troops but instead approaching to The Leville Inn stealthily. On The Leville Inn, apparently Iris, Jared and Talcott being questioned about Noctis whereabouts but Iris refused to answer. The leader of Niflheim troops, Caligo then threatens Iris which lead to Jared being shot to protect Iris from being harm. Noctis and friends jumps out to take on the troops immediately but the imperial commander, Caligo, manages to get away.

After the battle, Jared passed away.

Editor’s Note

This chapter include 3 important main story: getting Ramuh's blessings, a duel between Nocis and Ravus for the first time and the death of Jared.

Basically on the "getting Ramuh's blessings" is more or less is the same like in the game but Noctis can still use Regalia to reach the 3 runestones.

The duel between Noctis and Ravus is really needed to bring justice to Ravus role and screen-time in the game. There are very minimum information and stories about Ravus in the game. Why did Ravus hate Noctis/Regis so much?! Why does he works for Niflheim when he knows that Niflheim is the one that killed his mother?! Is he the good guy or bad guy?! At what point he became the good guy?! What is his purple robot arm power?! Where did he got it?!

In my version, Ravus hate the Lucian (Regis/Noctis) simply because they abandoned him that led the death of his mother a long time ago. Ravus decide to join the Niflheim imperial force to be able to sneakily help Lady Lunafreya, his sister, to help Noctis grow stronger. Although he should maintain his behaviour to hate Noctis all the time, in a way Ravus is the one who plan and prepare Noctis become a better King than King Regis by not abandon people/friends in need.

The additional scene where Noctis witness the death of Jared also important to bring more "hate" to the Niflheim imperial forces. In the game, I found it weird to have a protagonist having a hateful revenge on some people/base who are not really "clear" of being the one causing the hate at the first place. Because the death of Jared happens off-screen, we literally don't know who killed him, and how. Probably the Niflheim just yelled out-loud at Jared and he trips over or maybe heart-attack and die (-__- duh) My point is we need to witness Jared's death so that we can have that emotional feeling more clear, that "hate" feeling toward the Niflheim troops.
