The Power of Kings
-Cutscene of Lady Lunafreya walk out from Imsomnia along with other survivors, meeting up with Pryna and Umbra and Gentiana. Lunafreya show Gentiana the Ring of Lucii given by King Regis still in her possession. Gentiana then give Lunafreya a new dress to mark a new journey has begun -
Legacy
The scene shows Noctis and friends already back at Hammerhead where Cid explains about the situation and learn a bit about his past with King Regis. Cor reveals that there are a lot of survivors that fleeing out Imsomnia will expect the restoration of Imsomnia, Iris (Gladiolus sisters’) is one of the survivor that currently underway to Lestallum. Cor also explain to Noctis that sooner or later he will need to reclaim the throne therefore he need to get mature and stronger. In order to do that, Noctis will need to visit the royal tomb near Prairie Outpost.
In front of the royal tomb gate near Prairie Outpost, Cor give Noctis the key to access the royal tomb all over the region. Cor also explain that to claim the power of kings is his birthright and duty as future king of Lucis. Therefore, Noctis must collect the royal arms as much as he can in order to get strong. But Noctis is still a naive boy who merely still cannot accept his responsibility yet.
Cor:
“The Power of Kings, passed from the old to the new through bonding of souls. One such soul lies before you. To calim your forebears’ power is your birthright and duty as king”
Noctis:
“My duty as king of what?”
Cor:
“Now is not the time question your calling. A king is sworn to protect his people”
Noctis:
“And yet he chose to protect only one prince. Was that his calling? Forsake the masses to spare his own son?”
Cor:
“How long will you remain the protected? The king entrusted the role of protector to you”
Noctis:
“Entrusted it to me? I never asked any of that!”
“Why didn’t he just tell me that instead of just smilling as I left?! Why-
“Why did he lie to me?”
Cor:
“That day he didn’t want you to remember him as a king. In what time you had left, he wanted to be your father.
He always had faith in you, that when the time came, you would ascend for the sake of your people”
Noctis:
“Guess he left me no choice”
Noctis then calls out the Sword of Wise to be part of his armiger. Cor explain that there are total of 13 royal arms that can be collected throughout the region that can make Noctis even stronger. The next royal arm is nearby, just inside the Keycatrich Ruins, Cor suggest that Noctis headed there first.
The Power of Kings
Inside the Keycatrich Ruins, Noctis and friends along with Cor found the second royal tomb. Noctis will then collect the Axe of Conqueror as the second armiger.
Declaration of War
Going back to Prairie Outpost, Noctis and friends along with Cor and Monica discussing to put an imperial base out of commission. It is an imperial base that will unlock the access to Duscae region where more royal tomb lies beyond. The team will need to split up into 2. Cor and Noctis will infiltrate the base, creating an ambush from inside while the rest will create a commotion right in front of the gate to distract the troops.

Once the troops inside been taken out, Noctis and Cor will open gate, runited with Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto.

Apparently, the Niflheim still have something up their sleeves. A magitek mecha coming out from an airship piloted by Loqi to terminate Noctis and friends. Being slain by Noctis and friends along with Cor, Loqi managed to escape from the mecha while hanging on the rope on an airship.
After the battle, Cor says goodbye to Noctis and friends. Cor will then stay behind to keep update anything surrounding the crown city. Cor also said that by the time Noctis ready to reclaim the throne, he will be there to help Noctis as he could.

Editor’s Note
I believe this is the first time we see Lady Lunafreya in game, which confuse me because the appearance very much different from the last time I saw in the Kingsglaive: The Movie. I really wish that SquareEnix would maintain its consistency in their future game/movie especially they created it in the same universe. I once thought that all the Lady Lunafreya scenes in the game are flashback memories because she looks a lot younger than we saw at the Kingsglaive: The Movie. Different dress also. But apparently that was just some inconsistency in the game and movie development.
